spring has always been one of my favorite times to gather—there’s something about the flowers blooming, the fresh energy in the air, and the joy of setting a beautiful table that brings me so much delight.
at maman, we believe that thoughtful hosting isn’t about perfection—it’s about creating a feeling. whether you’re planning a cozy brunch or a full-blown easter fête, here are a few of my go-to styling tips for a spring tablescape that feels fresh, effortless, and full of charm.
keep things cohesive
i love mixing and matching, but i always try to find one unifying thread—whether it’s a shared color palette, a vintage feel, or even something as simple as consistent textures. it helps everything feel intentional, not overly coordinated.
texture is everything
if you’re not one for bold patterns, texture can bring your table to life in a quieter way. i often use old handkerchiefs, vintage lace, or antique linens as napkins—they’re soft, unexpected, and add so much depth and beauty
a touch of the season goes a long way
no need to go full easter bunny—but a few festive details add delight. i love using playful pieces like our ceramic bunny vase or hidden bunny mug. it’s the little details that spark the most joy.
wreaths make everything better
even the simplest plates feel special when paired with a mini wreath. i like to tuck in some fresh eucalyptus or seasonal flowers to make each setting feel a little more personal—and they double as sweet take-home gifts for guests.
eggs as place cards
skip the dyes and grab a pen—eggs double as sweet little name cards with a touch of creativity. we like to nestle them in vintage glassware or sherry cups (moss and florals help if the fit isn’t quite perfect). hard boil your eggs to prevent ink from running—or use edible markers and encourage guests to dig in!
florals, but make it fun
centerpieces don’t have to be stuffy. get creative with what you already have—repurpose teapots, yogurt jars, or anything that makes you smile. we love adding fresh jasmine to spring arrangements for its movement, fragrance, and even its edible blooms (tuck them into salads for a beautiful little surprise).
however you're celebrating this spring, I hope your table is filled with beauty, joy, and of course, cookies.
