as young children, elisa & ben spent countless hours cooking with their mothers & families, planting the seeds for what would one day become “maman”.

upon moving to new york, elisa & ben open the very first maman location in soho, a grab and go café creating a “home away from home” for visitors from all over the world.

voulez-vous le poulet? maman opens their "brother" brand, papa poule, a french style rotisserie restaurant, across the street from their soho café.

there’s no place like home… ben & elisa venture north of the border to bring a taste of maman to elisa’s hometown.

after the breakout success of the flagship location and demand for more dining space, maman opens in tribeca, offering full service dining & private event space

in search of further room to grow, maman sets their sight on brooklyn, opening a dreamy café space & commissary kitchen in greenpoint’s industrial neighborhood. as brand momentum starts to build, maman teams up with the International Center of Photography on a pop up coffee counter on Bowery.

nestled upstairs at the samsung 837 experience store, maman opens their second pop up, serving coffee and pastries to shoppers & passerbys.

wanting to grow the brand beyond food and beverage, marche maman opens a collective shop selling a variety of goods from local businesses and vendors on a curated rotation.

maman’s crowd-pleasing nutty-chocolate chip cookie receives a coveted mention in the 2017 edition of “Oprah’s Favorite Things”, catapulting our nationwide shipping and selling tens of thousands of cookies.

maman heads to the beach opening a pop up cafe in st barths at the tropical hotel. shortly after that, the team headed to Paris to bring a taste of maman to parisians, opening a cafe & coffee counter within the coworking & community center MONA by my little paris.

maman opens the doors to their cozy nomad café, their first location above 14th st & just steps away from the iconic flatiron building.

in the summer of 2018, maman & paper source team up to open a one-stop-shop in maman’s tribeca location.

maman opens their airy hudson location, plus an exclusive “staff-only” outpost at theory’s corporate nyc headquarters.

maman opens up their first location in snowy montreal, the sight of ben & elisa’s first meeting—it’s safe to say it was love at first sight!

as the world is forced to stay home, maman finds new ways to pivot their business model, expanding their selection of at-home amenities nationwide. from epicerie goods to cookie dough & more, customers delight in experiencing a taste of maman at home. maman also delivers thousands of hand-made meals to doctors, hospital workers, & nurses to give back to new york’s healthcare heroes.  

just in time for the new year, maman opens the doors to its spacious king street location, a one-of-a-kind spot featuring indoor enchanted garden decor, an expanded event space and barista training center.

right in the heart of NYU’s campus, maman opens up a new café in a historic landmark building; catering to students, residents, & tourists alike.

our first venture uptown, maman opens its doors to a new neighborhood in the upper east side, bringing our beloved classics uptown and quickly becoming a neighborhood hot spot.

as their exclusive charity partner, maman creates fundraiser initiatives such as pay as you please for soft openings of new locations, as well as drives and special events, raising over $25,000 as of fall 2022.

a new location in the heart of the city, steps away from the iconic rockefeller center.

elisa & ben release maman: the cookbook, sharing over 100 of their cherished family recipes along with maman classics, available in stores and online at major bookstores nationwide in print for the first time. the cookbook received mentions in publications such as vogue, food & wine, & the new york times.

after demand becomes apparent for more uptown locations, maman ventures across the park to the westside, opening a new café at 84th & amsterdam.

centrally located in the residential neighborhood of cobble hill, maman opens their second location in brooklyn; welcoming in families, passerbys, & coffee connoisseurs. as day turns to night, the spacious back room transforms into a dreamy event space.

on the precipice of a hopeful new year, maman opens its spacious bryant park location. as the midtown area slowly reopened its doors to locals and tourists alike, a home in the heart of midtown felt like a natural next step.

maman makes its first appearance in neighboring new jersey , opening its jersey city café with breathtaking views of the hudson waterfront.

just in time for spring fever, maman opens its bustling lincoln square café, just a few steps from the iconic lincoln center.

tucked inside the spacious amazon building, maman’s newest outpost serves up the café’s signature south-of-france charm to both tourists & office workers alike.

all aboard! maman opens in Moynihan Train Hall, the transformed James A. Farley Post Office Building, with an exclusive cookie menu.
